In April 2012 Kendall and I discovered Crossfit and it si safe to say we have been hooked since. We go at least 4-5 times a week and have really enjoyed getting to knwo the close knit CCF family! In August we participated in our first Crossfit competition, Europa health and fitness Expo in Dallas. We had no clue what we were getting into but did really well and had a blast, cant wait for next year!

So we made a trip to Arkansas to visit our dear friends The Hallers.. adn what wonderful hosts they were. We had a great time with all the kids..  despite  not getting to watch the ags play we kept busy drank a few beers ate Evans deliscious Bbq and just had a wonderful time. Thanks for y our hospitality Mandy Evan and huge thanks to Mollia and Emery for sharing your space, your snacks and your toys!! We had a great time!!

been a while

okay so alot has happened in the past 6 weeks or months or however long it has been since I last updated. I knew I would be terrible at this blogging stuff but Im sticking with it.Okay onto the fun stuff!!
 Dylan has started walking!!!!.. on July 16th actually. We were driving home from my parents house it was POURING rain worst storm I have ever driven in. The drive took us 7 hours after many detours, one explosive diaper and a quick bite we were home. But the fun didnt end there, we walked in to a dark house due to NO electricity...joy! It was 9:30 at night and instead of chancing being hot and sweaty all night we head to the Clintons casa. We get there adn are getting settled /visiting adn Dylan walks across the room!! Literally..like 10 steps and turns! We couldnt believe it .. we think it is because they have nice soft carpet vs the cold hard concrete she is use. Besides to who wants to learn to walk on concrete.. not this girl! The weeks preceeding this she still wouldnt walk at home.. what can i say she is her mothers daughter, stubborn!! Here we are a month later and I can officially say she is walking, she prefers with a finger but will take off on her own to chase her brother or the dog. Time slow down!! :(

Whitt is just such a smart little dude and often uses words like "otherwise" or phrases like "wont you join us" and makes me giggle. The summer Olympics are on and he calls them the "epics" ~just love it. I just cant get enough of my little fam.. I just want to soak them up and every moment I have with them because lets be honest they will just never be this young again, not even tomorrow, so I have to remember this and live it up!!

July 4th @ the Frio

The Clintons accompanied us again this year and we had such a good time!

We truly look forward to this time of year.. we just love it and hate to leave every time. We relaxed ate hamburgers hotdogs made ice cream, swam ALOT.. watched the fireworks and couldnt believe that last year we came and Dylan was just weeks old!!  Wow this year has flown! Whitt is such a swimmer and dove and jumped off the dam all day with his BFF Reid. Dylan made it to the water once but between naps, eating and playing with her bestie Taylor she hardly had time..lol. Great time as always! 

Our dear friends Kane and Tiffany visited us for a trip to Sea World along with Kendall and her niece and nephew. What a fun day. The weather was perfectly overcast and we hit the ground running. We started with a little Chik~fi~la breakfast arrived at the park and didnt stop! We fed the dolphins, saw three shows, ate lunch played in the water park ate ice cream rode a rollercoaster and left by 4 oclock! We were pooped! It was alot of fun and we look forward to trying Aquatica

Our Little "bug" turned ONE!!

We had Dylans birthday party and celebrated it with a crawfish boil complete with crawfish of course, oysters, crab legs snacks and birthday cookie cake! I am sure she will remember every bit of it! :)

We had a wonderful turnout complete with friends and family and plenty of kiddos so it was perfect! I am still having a hard time believeing our baby is one.. and although she isnt walkign just yet she stands alone all the time and has already proved she will have no problem taking care of herself when it comes to her sometimes rough older brother! She is s firecracker! We love this little girl to pieces and still cannot begin to imagine our lives without her she definetly completes us and we are so excited to watch her grow up alongside her big brother.

its springtime!

I love this time of year.. the long days the beautiful flowers and just the all around gorgeous weather! Although it is very short lived before the dreadfully hot days of summer set in we will try to enjoy every second! We take lots of wagon rides, eat picnic lunches outside, or nature walks just to see what we can see.

Whitt and I planted a garden , well mostly i planted it. While digging for soil he said" you do it mommy, I will watch you, I don't like to get my hands dirty". "What??" "is this my child?haha Oh well maybe next year! We planted, we weeded, we watered and we WAITED and finally we produced a strawberry! He was so excited and couldn't wait to eat it! We are just loving our space out here and get out every chance we get. Dylan is growing up and loves rides on Whitts gator when hes willing to go slow and take her for a spin.. she just eats it up!! I love these two and every minute I get with them!

Dylan is 9 months !

Okay so its official my baby is growing up! She turned 9 months on the 15th of March and I realized i will need to start thinking about her 1st birthday party soon...how did this happen!!?? She is such a joy and we still cant believe we have a little girl running (well, crawling) around our house!! She has 4 teeth.. can crawl and climb over anything and is standing up unassisted for seconds! We are well aware walking is to be expected very soon.. I'm already tired!! haha

She has proved that she will be able to take of herself in the defense of her brother no doubt!! We celebrated her 9month at mom and dads in Streetman for the entire week.. we just didnt want to leave it was so nice and we cant wait to visit again hopefully wade can come with us !! We took walks, i was able to get up and get a run in most days.. spend a lot of time outside riding bikes or just enjoying the view of the lake! Beautiful!! Whitts cousins and aunt were there as well which was just a blast.. he got plenty of attention thanks to his sweet cousin Dawson and momo of course :) We got to visit a friends little farm and feed her chickens and then take home some fresh eggs for breakfast.. yummy!! What a great month so far and only to get busier in the next few weeks but we are living life and these two sweet babies I am so so blessed to be able to spend my days with!!

House plans...

okay so things seem to be finally in motion.. I say finally when actually time has done nothing but fly by right before me.. I cant belive we have been in this little house for 9 months and our baby girl is 9 months old!! crazy!!now way , cant be .. make it STOP!!

Bank is processing our loan and we are set to close on/around March 20th!! Our builder of course cannot start until then but will be coming out to mark the lot for where the house will be built. Wade and I have already had to start making some decisons so this things is underway! Whoop!

I am always wishing our calenday would stop filling up and we would have more weekends at home but it never seems to cease. March is here in full force and i think there is red ink on every weekend in the month and spilling over into April as well.. oh well guess we shall be grateful we have friends and family to visit and the ability to make it to all these places and travel all these miles.

Next week is spring break and since Whitt is out of school and Wade is swamped at work and could use a few nights to work late.. Im packing up the kids and taking them to see my parents for several days. Im hoping the weather forecast changes drastically between now and then as it will be hard to lay out, ride bikes, and relax on the boat in a thunderstorm :(

Im just excited I found time to get on here.. so Im goint to really out do myself and post a few" "just because" pics of the kids..starting to feel like a real blogger now.. okay not really but getting close!! :)

Two amazing men

Oh so it always seems when i sit here in front of the computer I am at a loss as what to write about but in the midst of my crazy days I am overflowing with thoughts. I did want to take a minute and write about not one but two of the most remarkable grandfathers whom we lost very recently. My grandfather and someone I admired terribly passed away in December at the grand age of 81. He was a veteran and a gun collector and it was from him I most definitely inherited my strong will and stubbornness. I miss him terribly but am thrilled and so at peace with the fact that he is no longer in pain , stuck to his breathing machine or taking meds all day long it seems. And he died in his sleep which I am so grateful for ... what a way to go, he definitely deserved that. I am so blessed that he and Whitt had already created such a strong bond and he thought so highly of Whitt it makes me smile. Although she was tiny and it was only one or twice in her brand new little life he also met Dylan and we have those precious times in pictures! I love him to pieces and will cherish all of our visits and time we spent talking and especially all the time I spent listening to any wisdom he had to share.

Shortly after this Wades grandfather (who was just months shy of 90!) more commonly known as Teetaw started having complications with his hip and many more things from that first doctor visit .. his health declined very quickly and he went from a couple horribly long weeks at home to a short stay in the hospital until he was called home where he belongs.. and it was at that point that all who are close to him could only be relieved that he was feeling no pain.. he deserved none of that discomfort and all the other yucky stuff he went through. We are so fortunate that WHitt so loved his Teetaw and has many memories with him.. for this we are forever grateful. We love you grandpa and Teetaw, and you will never be forgotten.

Random Acts of Kindness

So for Lent this year.. I decided not to give up something but instead, to do random acts of kindness.. one each day in fact for 40 days.. this is going to be a challenge!!

I am trying to get creative and find acts that do not necessarily cost anything . I have only just gotten started but I already love the way I am feeling. Some things I have planned are to stop by a rest home I drive by literally every day taking Whitt to school and visit some folks who may not get many visitors, leave money at a vending machine at a business, or leave doallars in the toy section at a dollar store! Today I am leaving a small treat for our postlady~shes awesome and she needs to know it :)

weve got teeth!

Dylan is now 8 months and officially has 3 teeth! Two on the top and on on the bottom. She is beginning to crawl and can clap her hands and brings such happiness to all of us.. such a happy girl all the time.. gosh i love her!

Whitt spends most of his time making me laugh!! He never stops talking and I love it! He truly says the darndest things and he melts my heart daily. He is all boy and full of questions and adventure.We spend alot of time fighting bad mens or scraring away monsters... hes my little hero:)

Miss Dylan is 7 months!

Our lives have forever been changed with the birth of our sweet little girl 7 months ago!! She is happy and full of smiles.. I just love her to pieces and loving watching her and Whitt interact. I am so excited for them to be buddies (i hope) as they grow older!!

Okay so I have this bothersome itch to start a blog of all that is my life in hopes that I wont ever forget how I love it all so...the ups the downs the good the bad .. everything! Here we are about to embark on our next chapter as we begin to build our house, and I want to remember our time in this humble abode. As crazy as it sounds, I cried when we moved in, (killing scorpions constantly), but now the thought of having to move out brings tears to my eyes. Ive really enjoyed living here in such tight quarters with my little family.. sharing ONE bathroom and ALWAYS knowing where one another is. I have to admit I am in love with this little place and the time we have all shared here. So it is in fact this little house I have to thank for making me want to start this blog. I am going to try as I may to squeeze it all in and get it all down as we move on and move out :) It started something like this....
